WHAT TO INCLUDE IN WEDDING INVITATIONS

Wedding invitations can include a number of enclosures, depending on your specific wedding and your stationery budget. (obviously more pieces means higher costs)

Outer envelope: Holds everything all the enclosures. The envelope is formally addressed to your guest.
Inner envelope: Holds all the pieces of the formal invitation, this serves as protection for the invitation during shipping.
Reception card: This tells your guest where and when the reception will be held – this is usually only included if the ceremony and reception are at different locations.
Response card: This is where your guests accept or declines your invitation. Make sure to include an response deadline.
Response Envelope: The response card is included with this self-addressed (your address) and stamped envelope.
Map/Directional: Optional insertion to help your guests navigate from the wedding to the reception and/or give suggestions for hotel accommodations.
